The challenge
Offices run their people operations across chat messages, email threads and folders of one-off documents. Leave is requested informally, permissions are whatever someone remembers to grant, and an employment letter or salary slip is a file somebody typed from scratch. Nothing is recorded consistently, and nobody can answer who approved what.
What we did
- Per-organisation workspaces at worklyone.com/your-organisation, where sign-in, people, requests and documents are all scoped to that address and no organisation can see another’s data.
- Organisation structure as real data: departments, reporting lines and locations, with change history kept as teams move.
- One accurate profile per employee, with self-service access limited to the fields that person is allowed to see.
- Permissions granted per feature and per scope — own record, department, or whole organisation — rather than a single blunt admin flag.
- Leave requests with configurable leave types and approval routes, replacing informal requests over chat and email.
- Employment letters generated from approved templates, recording the issuer, template version and recipient on every document.
- Salary slips organised by payroll period and kept private to the employee and authorised roles.
- Organisations onboard by reviewed request rather than automatic sign-up, so no workspace is created without a person checking it.
The outcome
WorklyOne is live at worklyone.com. Organisations register by request, are reviewed by an administrator, and receive their own workspace address with the first administrator account set up for them.
